Attention to Detail
Finest Custom Homes in Hawaii
David’s meticulous artistry comes from years of professional training with masters of craft in marquetry, veneer work, inlay, wood turning, and hand finishing. His work has been featured by the Waldorf Astoria collection's Na Pua Gallery, the Architectural Digest Home Design show in New York, the American Craft Council in San Francisco, the Hana Coast Gallery, and he is part of the permanent collection at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center. David has been also a featured artist in the book, Aloha Expressionism: by Contemporary Hawai'i Artists. He will not cut corners on the underside of pieces or cabinet interiors, believing, instead, that is where true pride in craftsmanship is revealed.
Color Match & Custom Finish
The art & science of color
Furniture design and craftsmanship are only part of the equation in producing the ultimate pieces for your home, office, or hotel. The color and tone, and method of finish application all affect the visual detail of your custom piece. Color is created by chemistry, and trained by masters who preserve works for the Smithsonian, David is able to exact match or propose complementary colors based on samples and images. This allows you to obtain exactly what was in your mind’s eye and achieve a cohesive look throughout your residence or commercial space.
Sustainable Beauty
Mastery of Grains & Veneer
There is no greater artist than Nature herself. Working with homeowners and designers, we can create a truly one-of-a-kind piece by artfully matching grains in any number of patterns. In addition, the use of veneers for rare wood species is a more sustainable option for the planet, and ensures we have more of these precious resources for generations into the future. David is skilled at wood selection and has cultivated sources, allowing our customers to select from a wide variety of unique woods.
